*closed* Mixbook.com Photobook Give Away

mixbook photobooks 2

Some of you might already know that I am a huge fan of MIXBOOK.com- I know that a lot of you ladies are already as well, because when MIXBOOK.com gave away a free hardcover photobook WITH free shipping, the site was crashed!

Here is why I like this website:

I have NO patience. Nill. Nada. Zilch.

If your website says “create easily a photobook” I don’t want to have to hunt for the info!

MIXBOOK.com has managed to put together an extensive program that enables me to personalize as much and spend as much (or little) time as I want on making a book. I choose a book, a theme, pictures or automix, maybe add a little text, some deco. Badda-bing. Done.

Naturally, I have spent hours on my books, just because it was so much fun.

The function where you can invite contributors is really great. If you had an event with several photographers you can invite them to add photos and therefore make sure you are including ALL photos to make an even more comprehensive and phenomenal book.

Though the name MIXBOOK might be misleading you can create so much more that just books. Calendars, cards, announcements, invites….

Mixbook supports our military members with this exclusive discount :

20% off discount: Code – MLTRY20
No expiration date, but it can only be used once per customer.

December 23rd:Sustainable Living Book GiveAway

48 things to know about sustainable living

You have met Victoria Klein in a give away on December 20th, where she graciously is giving away her book: 27 Things to know about Yoga. With seemingly endless energy and like an idea factory, she has produced 2 books within a short time.

This book, however, struck a nerve. Being German and having grown up with recycling deeply seeded in my life, I not only agree but also applaud Victoria to this book. This will jump start your eco friendly life, which will help preserve a world for your children and their children. Read her article where she compares organic cotton to conventional cotton in Readymade Magazine.

On this

December 23rd

Victoria Says:

“Our spouses (Marine Corps wife here) have chosen a career where they risk their lives
fighting for the safety & security of our country and, in conjunction, the rest of the world.
At home, we “hold down the fort”, managing money, raising a family, doing regular
chores … etc. While all military spouses should be applauded for their housekeeping
efforts, I’m often struck with the feeling that I should be doing more to make this world a
better place, like my husband is doing.

Climate change & energy efficiency have been popular topics in modern culture for over
a decade. The health of our planet is a vital part of the safety & security for the nation
and the human species. The military is taking notice, with each branch investigating &
implementing new “green” policies, both in the field & on bases around the world. As
citizens & spouses of the best fighting force on the planet, we are in a perfect position to
drive change, leading by example & direct actions.

While debates over the best course of action continue to rage on, there is one thing
we can agree on: sustainably can seem expensive, difficult, and downright confusing.
Not anymore! My 2nd book, 48 Things to Know About Sustainable Living is your one-
stop guide to all the basics of living a more environmentally-conscious life. From food,
clothing, and school supplies to appliances, transportation, and hobbies, sustainable
options are more plethoric than ever.

No matter your budget or housing situation, living a conscious, sustainable life is within
the reach of each & every one of us. The first step is to gather information, and 48 Things
to Know About Sustainable Living will give you everything you need (saving you time,
which we could all us more of). One thing we need to remember: start small. Any &
every change that benefits our environment is worthwhile. You don’t have to transform
your entire life in one day (the military is good at doing that for us), but we all need to
start somewhere.

Bio: Victoria Klein is a freelance writer, photographer, and creative dabbler. Along with
a regular yoga practice & running regimen, you’ll find her reading, cooking, baking,
bicycling, contemplating new tattoos, learning how to be a military wife, and looking
for more ways to live sustainably. She’s the author of 2 books, 27 Things to Know About
Yoga & 48 Things to Know About Sustainable Living.”

In the Comment section below, make sure you add your name, email (not published) and a website if you have one that you would like to announce …don’t forget your comment!
